What is UAN?
Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12-digit number allotted to every EPF member. It remains the same throughout your career, even when you change jobs.
How to Activate UAN Online
Step 1: Visit the unified portal
Step 2: Click on "Activate UAN"
Step 3: Enter your UAN, Aadhaar number, and mobile number
Step 4: Click "Get Authorization Pin" - you will receive OTP on your mobile
Step 5: Enter OTP and validate
Step 6: Set your password. Your UAN is now activated!
After UAN Activation
Once activated, login and complete your KYC by adding Aadhaar number, PAN card details, and bank account with IFSC code.
Important: Your KYC must be approved by your employer before you can file any claims online.
