Why PF Transfer is Important
When you change jobs, your PF account does not automatically move to your new employer. If you do not transfer, you end up with multiple PF accounts, which causes problems during final withdrawal.
Documents Required for PF Transfer
- UAN of previous and current employer
- Date of joining and date of exit from previous company
- Aadhaar card linked to UAN
- Bank account details
Step-by-Step Transfer Process
Step 1: Login to UAN portal with your credentials
Step 2: Go to "Online Services" and select "One Member - One EPF Account"
Step 3: Fill Form 13 with your previous and current employment details
Step 4: Submit and note the tracking ID
How Long Does Transfer Take?
Normally, PF transfer takes 20-30 days after both employers approve the request. You can track the status online using your tracking ID.
Important: Make sure your Date of Exit is marked by your previous employer before initiating transfer. Otherwise, the claim will be rejected.
